Ketchup > Mustard
Condiments are one of the greatest preferences in the world. Many condiments are offered and many are indeed popular, however, the two with the most appeal and favor are mustard and ketchup. Once considered, i’m sure you will find that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, ketchup is the victor in the battle with mustard for best condiment.
Have you ever thought that there may be other uses for condiments besides simply putting them on food? One day, whilst my friends and I were driving, we came upon an abandoned motel. Being the adventurers that we are, we whipped out a video camera and immediately attempted to make a scary movie. We were moving along the story line undeterred until we came to the cliched death of the sole victim. Now, surely everyone has been, or will be, in a situation similar to ours, and I hope that you will remember our solution well. Suddenly, it occurred to us that all the ripping of skin would cause blood to gush out, or, at minimum, to be shown. A quick fix was all we could afford and we reached for the extra ketchup packets from our lunch. With a little bit of precise squirting we reached a feasible solution and finished the short film. All i can say is that if we would have had mustard that day, we certainly would not have been able to complete our dream of making a movie.
A second thing that ultimately proves ketchup as the best condiment is its versatility as a paintable substance. A great many times have artists run out of the rosy red paint we all know and love. No doubt, they used ketchup as a quick replacement to put the finishing touches on their masterpieces. This is actually where the ‘hunger for art’ originated. One day, while looking at a gallery of artwork, unsuspecting patrons breathed in the gentle waft of ketchup, thereby causing their mouths to slightly water and their stomachs to quickly agree. Needless to say, they called it as it appeared, ergo, a hunger for artwork. To this day, there has not been a soul who has run out of yellow paint, therefore, ketchup is invaluable to keep nearby during all art endeavors.
Lastly, ketchup is indeed the most perfectly flavored condiment of all time; yes, it is so tasty that even mustard cannot compare! When one bites into a perfectly crispy and soft piece of chicken, they do not think of mustard. Our minds have been wired so perfectly that we automatically think of ketchup. If you have some fish, put ketchup on it! If you have a hamburger, put ketchup on it! Even if you have a chocolate shake, put ketchup on it! People have tried all sorts of different combinations with the ultimate condiment, and they keep repeating those combinations because they work. Ketchup has a tangy, salty, sweet mixture of flavors to grasp your tongue, twist it around, tease it with hide and seek, and let it simmer in the taste to fulfill your buds’ desire for zesty sustenance.
There are many things in life that no one can be sure of, however, i believe this battle is long over. Ketchup is the ultimate condiment. It has won against mustard, and rightfully so. The uses are endless, the taste is fresh, and the packages are just so darn cute and appealing. With so many reasons to be a ketchup fanatic, there is no choice left for unbelievers. Mustard has lost, and ketchup will now take over the world.
