So there i was, listening to music on my Bose noise canceling headphones, which i've taken the liberty of calling it 'THE BOSS'; sitting in my seat firmly with my seatbelt fastened; playing the ring i've just obtained from a souvenir store; closing my eyes trying to get some sleep, breath in slowly, then breath out...'Anytime now,' i thought to myself.

'Excuse me' he asked quietly. I raised my left eyebrow with my eyes still closed, 'EXCUSE ME!' He repeated himself loudly! And there's he was, a middle age man with a neat polo shirt on, hairline slowly fading away but still have the dignity and confidence the others have lost long ago.

That's right. I'm talking about how i met a guy, this is the story of how i met my dear friend Avi.

It took me a while to figure what and who he is. At first i thought he's european, maybe German or Hungarian. But that was apparently wrong when he showed me his Israeli passport.

I was certainly surprised at how friendly he is, after all he spoke with such confident and stern, but he does have a certain charm which can make him irresistible to some people. He knows what he wants, and he's not afraid to ask for it and go for it.

He's not afraid to speak the truth and expresses his opinion, perfect. He's a lot like myself. He's currently in a committed relationship, yep check, like myself. He's stylish and funny, also check, like myself. He's gay. Check...wait say what?

That's right. This cool stranger i've just met on the plane, who complimented me half an hour ago, is in fact attracted to guys, his boyfriend is also 19 like myself he explained, i reminded him of his boyfriend as he went on explaining, and he missed his boyfriend so much, to a point it makes him wants to cry.

Aww that's sweet i thought to myself. I looked like an Israeli model that day, yay to myself. While I told my friend Alex about this cool dude i met on the plane and how we joked and talked for 11 hours on the plane, his first reaction was, 'well no shit! He wants your dick and join the mile high club, that's why he kept playing with your ring! That's disgusting'

That's slightly homophobic of him, but hey...it's not the first time i've noticed gay men like me...Over the summer, I noticed it more and more. But that's for next time.

Andy out!
