I saw a very very strange man today. I was on my way back from ASB downtown after picking up my Visa Debit card. The man held a huge sign that says 'The Messiah is here!' On the top of the sign, there's a picture of an intelligent looking, yet old and balding man. So that's pretty much an Asian guy with glasses on.
I observed him for a moment, he kept walking back and worth across the road, everytime when he's in the middle of the crossing, he rose his right arm to a 45 degree angle and he chant something...yeah the Nazi salute.
That whole event got me thinking on 3 things. Firstly, finally an Asian is the Messiah for once, I mean took them long enough, first we got Moses, who's probably Middle Eastern? (Can't remember my bible studies back at primary), then we got Jesus, who's suppose to be the King of Jew, and lastly we got Mohammad, who's just...yea =P
Second thing, there was this doucmentary i saw on youtube about cult and religion. There's also this book called the God Delusion (good read) and go google John Frum, that's a good starting point and it gives a very good and recent example on how religion usually start.
Third thing, homosexuals. I know that might seemed a little prejudice that I mention homosexuals and religion in the same post. But just the way religion is spread. At most times through hate and fear. it's rather obvious that most religions (including Christianity) condemn homosexuality. Yet ironically the term homosexuality is invented back in 1869. Then it's ironic that the bible (which is suppose to exist for hundreds of years condemn something that is a relatively recent invention. Think about it! Because i told you to!
Speaking of homosexuals, i must talk about something important...more on that next time =P
*cliffhanger*
