Don't you get it?

I am amazed at how dense we human beings can be when it comes to writers. My youngest brother is a big Bob Dylan fan and the guy is a conservative! Oh well. I'm a big Bob Dylan fan and I'm a liberal!

Either way is an "eeek! moment" when it comes to writers.

Writers are a different breed. How do I know? Because I'm one of them. Believe me that old adage, "A writer is born, not made," is vertically true. It's straight up. We writers ALWAYS have an agenda that flows from our unusual minds that are doomed to observe.

Get that?

Writers are doomed to observe. Even when they are acting in a noble cause, they are ACTING. They have no idea what the people around them are feeling. They only know what they are feeling because they are observing. When a writer actually DOES something, it's only because the writer is playing a role, pretending to be SOMEBODY.

Writers are not somebodies, however. They are "no bodies." They are floating intellects that can cut through any crap you throw at them. Words will never hurt them because they are the inventer of words. They invent humanity, the best AND the worst.

Hey, someone has to!

But, then, maybe most people are content with allowing the writers of their sacred texts to invent their lives. I don't mind that, not at all. In fact, it's the coolest idea ever that we can live beyond this life into another life that lasts forever. What a wonderful thought!

I hope it's true. I really do.

I just don't get why the Higher Power allowed writers to keep being born.
