:"Of course, there may be linkages of which I’m unaware.)"
let’s notre that this is a true statement.
the story of Adam and eve, the story in isaihah about the war in heaven, were both imported into Judaism during the Zoroastria period babylonian exile.
the story of Adam and eve was imported into Zorastrianism from….elsewhere…
u might widsh, or not…lol…to see my comment to maidenhair about la Befina.
or nore that Adam means red dust… ochre…. the colour of the bull in lascaux.
here’s a twist on that Adam/Eve story…if Adam came first he would have been like the ‘fore-runner’, so it would be Eve who would be the ‘major’ side of that Twin Manifestation :)
Suggested reading would be Chapter 30 of "Some Answered Questions" by ‘Abdu’l-Baha, titled Adam and Eve.
He speaks that Adam is the spirit of man and Eve as the soul.
In the Arabic man is also Adam (ADM) and Eve is called Hua. In this ADM is 45 in abjad values and Hua is 15 by the same value scale as are the letters thereof.
We note that the Equilateral Triangle is the symbol of the Divine Mystery. If we look at Genesis 21 - 24 we note that Hua came from the side of Adam, or that the soul came from out of the spirit of man, just as ‘Abdu’l-Baha has said that the soul is the fruit of the spirit and the spirit is likened to the tree.
The Divine, as the triangular symbol, is a regular polygon having angles of 60 degrees each. Were we to remove 15 degrees to create Eve (Hua), Adam would then become as 45. Hence, a human is both spirit and soul, two wings of one Bird, just as 15 plus 45 = 60. Thus Hua + Man = one human.
Thus, Adam also represents the first Manifestation of God, as is signified by a Divine Triangle, the Receiver of the Gift, the Gift, and the Giver of the Gift.
