What this service does is amazing, it not only describes what I hate most about Twitter; the very short limit on what can be said in the name of running on top of a very outdated platform, sms; but it also lets me type entire paragraphs and provide more detail without having to go to one of those URL shortener services. This means that the people I want to communicate with don't have to worry about attempting to figure out what I am trying to say, but rather I can just say it. The lame guessing of where a shortened URL is going to take me now is removed and in comes actual URLs that are allowed to describe the resource. To be honest Twitter has become the bane of my existence with everyone and everything demanding that I use the service to be able to keep up with everything that is happening around me. ISPs are now using twitter to provide status updates rather than their own websites or customer portals. Sure it makes status updates simple and people can subscribe to them, but not everyone wants to use or rather is willing to listen to every whiny little bitch out there just to be able to get updates about a service. Why should I be required to sign up with a 3rd party service to get status updates on my servers when in reality it is your job to send me status updates or provide them to me in an easy to find locations so that I know exactly what is going on.
